Louise, an attorney and child advocate, began managing Supporting Kidds in 2021 as its Interim Executive Director. Louise obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Georgetown University and her JD from Howard University School of Law. After losing her husband in the line of duty, Louise has decided to commit her time to preserving and sustaining the work of Supporting Kidds by bringing more awareness to childhood bereavement. Louise is passionate about educating the community to better understand and support children and families suffering from grief and loss. Originally from Massachusetts, Louise now lives in Hockessin with her daughter and mother.

Alexa, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, began working for Supporting Kidds in 2021. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work from West Chester University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Western Michigan University. Alexa believes strongly in the resiliency of the human spirit and has been working with children and their families in a variety of capacities for over 13 years. Originally from Michigan, Alexa has been living in Delaware with her husband and dog for over 10 years.

Katie, a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Grief Counselor, has been helping children with their grief journeys and assisting families at Supporting Kidds since 2017. She has over 15 years of experience working in the mental health field. Katie obtained both her Master’s degree in Community Counseling and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lynchburg College. A native of Delaware, Katie grew up in Newark and lives in Pike Creek with her husband and two sons.

Pamela A. Mann is a development and fundraising professional with more than 30 years of experience building strong relationships with individuals, major donors and corporations. She has extensive expertise in major gifts, grant development, donor cultivation, and strategic fundraising initiatives. Pam has held leadership roles with organizations including the Delaware College of Art & Design, YWCA Delaware, and Girl Scouts of Central California and the Chesapeake Bay. Known for her strategic thinking, collaborative leadership, and commitment to mission-driven work, Pam is dedicated to strengthening organizations and advancing community-centered initiatives.

Leana Owens is a Bereavement Counselor and Healing Pathways Coordinator. She started at Supporting Kidds as a graduate student intern. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Immaculata University.

Nicole began her work at Supporting Kidds in 2022 as an intern while completing her Master’s degree in Human Services at Wilmington University. She had remained a part of Supporting Kidds as a volunteer and then decided to join the team as a Healing Pathways Coordinator. She is a Delaware native and grew up right here in Hockessin. When she’s not working, Nicole enjoys spending quality time with friends, family, and her dog Jameson.

Terrance is a master’s-level clinician who has worked with Supporting Kidds for two years. He values the diverse identities and experiences each client brings and recognizes the importance of understanding each person’s unique story. Terrance believes therapy can foster meaning, connection, and personal growth. He strives to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable expressing vulnerability, exploring their goals, and gaining insight. Terrance works to build therapeutic relationships that encourage autonomy, strengthen self-efficacy, and support individuals as they navigate challenges and move forward in their grief journey.

Chanel Y. Grundy, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor with over 10 years of experience in behavioral science, mental health counseling, and addiction services. She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients can begin their healing journey. Chanel integrates Positive Psychology into her work and specializes in mood disorders, co-occurring disorders, life transitions, women’s issues, and trauma. Known for her compassionate and understanding approach, she helps clients explore challenges, build self-acceptance, and move toward lasting personal growth.

Dorothea, a native of Delaware, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware with a major in Community and Family Services. She also has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore with a concentration in Clinical, Community Organization, and Social Administration. Dorothea holds a License of Clinical Social Work in the State of Delaware.

David brings nearly 20 years of nonprofit management and leadership experience. Before joining Supporting Kidds, David served as the Director of Development at The Delaware Contemporary, where he oversaw the museum’s fundraising activities and stepped in as Interim Executive Director for a short time. Earlier, he worked with the Philadelphia Ballet, the Music School of Delaware, and the Smyrna Opera House, where he served as Executive Director for almost 6 years. During his time there, the Delaware Division of the Arts noted that the Smyrna Opera House should be used as a “model for other arts organizations of its size.” At the Philadelphia Ballet, Keller wrote a $1.5 million grant for the Philadelphia Ballet’s Center for Dance set to open later this year on North Broad Street. David lives in Trolley Square with his incredible wife, two young boys, and their little dog, Joey. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, rooting for Philly sports teams, and going to Lewes, DE with his family.

Lauren, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, began working with Supporting Kidds in 2023. Lauren obtained her Masters Degree in Social Work with a certificate in Trauma Informed Practice from Widener University in 2016. Lauren has additional post graduate training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from Bryn Mawr College. Lauren has been working in the social work field supporting children and their families since 2017 and values the importance of human relationships and family systems. Lauren is a native of Delaware and currently resides in the Newark area with her husband and dog (yellow labrador retriever, Finn!). In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, visiting with friends, and traveling with her husband.
