Grief affects everyone at some point in their life. One of our goals is to create a community around death and dying so that children do not feel alone while they grieve. At our Center, we provide individual grief counseling and support groups.
Guiding Pathways
Our Guiding Pathways program provides 1-1 counseling for children and teens ages 5-18. Counseling is specifically related to grief and loss and the lifestyle changes associated with death. We know everyone’s grief journey is unique and we provide healing and coping skills to meet each child’s specific needs. We do this by starting with a consultation with our Clinical Director, followed by an assessment, and then feedback for the best-individualized plan.
Healing Pathways
Healing Pathways is comprised of our signature 6-week grief group that runs twice a year, as well as one-night events. Our groups help children, teens, and caregivers understand death and the normal grieving process. Families learn positive coping skills and are connected to a community that embraces their healing process.
Survival Kits for Families
Our Survival Kits for Families entitled, Tools for Healthy Grieving, provides resources and support on the journey of healing and restoring hope.
One Night Events
Social support for children and their caregivers provides a safe space where they can develop positive coping skills and a sense of community. At Supporting Kidds children and adults are given opportunities to support each other on their journey and encouraged to build social support and a greater sense of purpose and self-empowerment. We hold one-night events several times throughout the year to create a space for connections.
